Permanent Representatives

The Permanent Representatives of the Supreme Youth Protection Authorities of the Federal States (OLJB) act as state representatives of the USK in all regular proceedings under the Youth Protection Act (JuSchG).

Since 2003, each classification committee in the standard procedure at the USK consists of four youth protection experts and one Permanent Representative of the Supreme State Youth Protection Authorities (OLJB). The age classification recommended by a classification committee is adopted by the Permanent Representative of the Supreme State Youth Protection Authorities (OLJB) as its own decision on age-approval, unless the provider or the Permanent Representative files an appeal within the set deadline.

The result of the last classification instance determines the final USK age rating, which can then be found, for example, on the game boxes or discs, but also online for games that have been classified by the Permanent Representaties. The final test results are regularly uploaded to the classification database.
